Discussing taxes in Colonial Boston
Thomas Hutchinson
Can we have your autograph?
Dr. Anthony Smith took time to come to our class today and role play Lt. Governor, Thomas Hutchinson.
He discussed the recent taxes levied onto the citizens of Boston. He was only the messenger, but The Sons of Liberty ransacked his house. They were not happy with the news of the taxes, and shouted, “We must take action!” and “No Taxation without Representation!” Since the colonists did not have a voice in British Parliament, they did not think the taxes were fair or justified.
Thank you, Dr. Smith, for taking the time to come to our class!

Today was All Art All Day! Students had 4 sessions to go and try their hand at an artistic endeavor. Water Color Painting was in our classroom, and almost every one in our class got to join this class. Other sessions included jewelry making, paper sculpture, string art, computer art, foil art, collage, pastel drawing, and a few types of dancing, among other things. Ask your student what sessions they got to be a part of today.
