We started our unit on Family Life and Sexual Health or FLASH today. Students came up with ground rules for class time around this learning. These include:

1. No put downs or making jokes at someone’s expense
2. Be respectful of each other’s feelings
3. Protect people’s privacy by keeping our discussions in the classroom or with a trusted adult.
4. Any question is a good question, some will need answers from home.
5. Respect personal beliefs
6. It’s OK to not ask questions, or pass

I have encouraged the students to come home and talk to the parents about what they are learning. Thank you for participating in those discussions with them to help them understand and navigate this growing time in their lives.
